According to extension mechanism of the World Wind plugin, this paper studies some of knowledge and technology about displaying tile map, such as the tile map coordinates projection, the plug-in loaded, the download process of the tiles and the local file cache and memory cache etc., and finally achieves the the tile map plugin, and puts forward a number of methods to optimize the tile map.
